Logistics Terms & Conditions
1. Appointment of Logistics Partner
Zorba Diamond Pvt. Ltd. (“Zorba Diamond”) engages third-party logistics service providers, including Sequel Logistics (“Logistics Partner”), solely for transportation and handling of consignments on behalf of the Customer.
2. Sealed & Secured Consignments
All consignments shall be picked up and delivered strictly in closed and sealed condition, bearing seals provided by Zorba Diamond and the Logistics Partner. Any unsealed or tampered consignment shall not be accepted or delivered.
3. Packaging Responsibility
The Customer shall ensure that the shipment is adequately packed to withstand normal rigors of air and road transportation, strictly following packing guidelines communicated by Zorba Diamond via email, call, or written instructions.
4. Mandatory Metal Box Packing
Precious jewellery and materials must be packed only in the metal box provided by Zorba Diamond, duly sealed to prevent damage, loss, or deterioration arising from improper or defective packaging.
5. Security Cover at Pickup
At the time of pickup, the sealed consignment shall be placed inside the Logistics Partner’s security cover and sealed in the presence of the Logistics Partner’s authorized representative.
6. Delivery Acceptance
The Customer shall accept delivery and sign the Proof of Delivery (POD) only after verifying the intactness of outer packaging, seals, and security cover, without demur. Any discrepancy must be reported immediately at delivery.
7. Inspection of Shipments
The Logistics Partner or any third-party logistics provider shall open or inspect the shipment only in the presence of the Customer’s authorized official.
In case of absence or emergency, inspection may be conducted only after receiving written confirmation (email or text message) from the Customer’s authorized representative.
8. Prohibited & Restricted Goods
The Customer shall not tender any shipment containing banned, restricted, prohibited, hazardous, or dangerous goods under applicable law. Zorba Diamond and the Logistics Partner reserve the right to refuse such shipments if disclosed. Zorba Diamond shall not be liable for any consequences arising therefrom.
9. Accuracy of Declarations
All declarations, descriptions, and information provided in shipping documents and consignment notes must be true, complete, and accurate. Any misrepresentation or incorrect information shall render the consignment invalid for any claim whatsoever.
10. Seizure by Authorities
If any consignment is seized or detained by government or statutory authorities under any law, court order, or during special circumstances (including election periods), Zorba Diamond and the Logistics Partner shall promptly inform the Customer and reasonably cooperate by providing necessary information for recovery. Zorba Diamond shall not be liable for such seizure, being beyond its control.
11. Limitation of Liability
Zorba Diamond shall not be liable for loss, delay, seizure, or damage arising due to acts of authorities, force majeure, improper packaging, incorrect declarations, or Customer non-compliance with these Terms.
12. Governing Law & Jurisdiction
These Terms & Conditions shall be governed by the laws of India, and courts at Kolkata shall have exclusive jurisdiction.
Production & Delivery Schedule
Each creation is carefully crafted and delivered within 5 to 15 days, with bespoke or made-to-order pieces requiring an additional manufacturing period of up to 15 days.
